My Life in Words
Internship!

I have such a wonderful day today, Tumblr, I could just sing! I went to this small newspaper here in my hometown today to discuss an internship with the editor. She asked me a couple of questions and the BOOM! “Can you start Monday at 10?” I could have jumped out of my skin I was so excited. I hate to be prideful, but I’m pretty proud of myself. I wanted this job so bad. I need to gain experience especially since being a journalist is what I want to do with my career. I just can’t wait to get started! This has just set off my June in the absolute most perfect way! So, here’s what I’ll be doing: On Monday, I’ll pretty much just be shown around and introduced to everybody before possibly going out to take pictures (which I’m not fabulous at, but I’m willing to give anything a try). Then for the first couple of weeks, I’ll just being doing busy work. You know things that need to be done around the office, updating the social media and website, and basically whatever anyone wants me to do. Then I might possibly get to go out with a couple of reporters and might even get to have a few of my own articles or “by lines,” which is so awesome! I’m not really going to be paid, but I might make fifty dollars every so often as freelancer if they use my stuff. I’m so excited and can’t wait! Wish me luck!

Love this episode. I feel like it teaches something…just not sure what exactly. lol

“Sea Horses

A lot of people don’t know this about sea horses, but they are “monogamous.” That means they stay together with their one true love for their entire lives. Each day, the sea horses link tails and go for a walk along the ocean floor. Then the male sea horse gets pregnant.”

I don’t believe in failure, because simply by saying you’ve failed, you’ve admitted you attempted. And anyone who attempts is not a failure. Those who truly fail in my eyes are the ones who never try at all. The ones who sit on the couch and whine and moan and wait for the world to change for them.

Some things don’t last forever, but some things do. Like a good song, or a good book, or a good memory you can take out and unfold in your darkest times, pressing down on the corners and peering in close, hoping you still recognize the person you see there.

What Disney Princesses teach us!

Music is a total constant. That’s why we have such a strong visceral connection to it, you know? Because a song can take you back instantly to a moment, or a place, or even a person. No matter what else has changed in your or the world, that one song says the same, just like that moment
